Convert running distance and time into pace and speed, then project 5K, 10K, half-marathon and marathon times at that same constant pace.

How it works

Convert the full duration to minutes. Pace = total minutes / kilometres; speed = 60 / pace. A projected time is pace × target distance. Decimal 5.50 minutes means 5 minutes 30 seconds, not 5:50.

Example: 5 km in 27:30 is a 5:30 min/km pace, or 5.50 decimal minutes, and about 10.91 km/h. At the same pace, 10 km takes 55 minutes.

This is unit conversion at a constant pace, not training advice or a prediction of achievable performance. Distance, terrain, weather and breaks affect actual times.

Frequently asked questions

Does a lower pace mean faster running?

Yes: fewer minutes per kilometre means greater speed. A 5:00 pace is faster than 6:00.

Can I use this for walking?

Yes. The same distance and time relationship applies; decide whether your recorded duration includes breaks.
