Editorial policy

This site publishes information about tax, employment law and money — areas where wrong information causes real harm. This page explains where the figures come from, how they are checked, and what happens when the law changes.

Who is responsible for the content

Chavarit Homjit (ชวลิต หอมจิตร์)

Maintainer and fact-checker

Builds and maintains this site, gathering the calculation methods and checking every statutory rate against the Thai government website that publishes it, with the source link and verification date shown on each page.

This is not an accounting firm, a tax advisory, or a law firm. The strength of this site is transparency about where each figure comes from, not individual advice. For anything with complicated conditions — and cross-border tax often is — speak to a qualified professional or contact the relevant Thai authority directly.

The principles we follow

  1. Every tax rate, contribution rate and government fee is copied from the website of the authority responsible for it, never second-hand from another site.
  2. Each page lists its sources with links and the date they were last checked, so you can verify them yourself.
  3. All rates live in one place in the source code together with their origin URL and date, so that nothing is missed when the law changes.
  4. An automated process checks the government source pages every week and raises an alert when a figure on the original page changes.
  5. That process never edits a rate by itself. It opens a request for a person to review, because misreading a rate table once would make the entire site calculate wrongly.
  6. Every result carries a clear statement that it is an estimate, not legal, tax or financial advice.

If you find something wrong

If a figure does not match what the government body publishes, or a calculation does not match a document you have actually received, please write to calcthai.contact@gmail.com with the page name and the numbers you entered. We will check and correct it as quickly as we can.

Reports like these matter a great deal, because a site that calculates wrongly without anyone noticing is more dangerous than a site with no information at all.

Most Thai government pages are published in Thai only, so some titles below appear in Thai. They are listed exactly as the source publishes them so you can find the right page.

Verification schedule

  • Weekly — an automated process compares the figures on the government source pages with the ones stored here, and raises an alert for human review when they differ.
  • Every four months — the Ft electricity charge, which the Energy Regulatory Commission re-announces on that cycle.
  • Every January — income tax rates and personal allowances, which can change with the tax year.
