About
CalcThai is a collection of free online calculators for money and everyday life in Thailand. Nothing here requires an account, a download, or a payment.
Why this site exists
The calculations people in Thailand need most often — income tax, take-home pay, electricity bills, loan instalments — are all governed by official formulas and published rates. But those rates sit scattered across government websites, usually in Thai only, and often in PDF documents that are hard to read on a phone. This site brings them together so you can type a number and see the answer immediately, with an explanation of how it was worked out.
For foreigners living in Thailand the gap is wider still. Most English-language material about Thai tax and employment law is either out of date or written for a different country's rules. Every figure on this site comes from the Thai authority that actually sets it.
How accuracy is maintained
Tax brackets, social security contribution rates, statutory severance, and electricity tariffs are all taken directly from the responsible government body's own website. Every page shows the date those rates were last checked, along with links to the original sources so you can verify them yourself.
These rates change when the law or an official announcement changes. An automated check watches the source pages and flags differences for review, but no figure is ever updated without a person confirming it first — misreading a rate table once would make the whole site calculate wrongly without anyone noticing. If you spot something incorrect or out of date, please tell us through the contact page.
