Estimate an appliance’s energy use and cost from watts, daily operating hours, days and quantity. Compare usage choices using your own electricity rate.

How it works

Energy (kWh) = watts / 1,000 × daily hours × days × appliance count. Cost = kWh × price per kWh. For cycling appliances such as refrigerators, use measured average power or energy use.

Example: one 1,000 W appliance running four hours daily for 30 days uses 120 kWh. At THB 4.50/kWh it costs THB 540, or THB 18 per day.

This estimates appliance cost, not the whole utility bill. Tiered tariffs, Ft adjustments and standing charges are not applied automatically. The starting rate is illustrative; use the electricity-bill calculator for a household bill.

Frequently asked questions

Is nameplate wattage constant consumption?

Not always. Power varies by setting and operating cycle. Average measured power improves the estimate.

How much would fewer hours save?

Save the current result, then reduce the hours to compare costs at the same power and rate.
